Exclusive: JoBlo.com yuks it up on the red carpet for YouTube Comedy Week!

Last Updated on January 8, 2024

Ready to laugh!?! You’d better be! From May 19th to the 25th, the ever popular website YouTube is presenting Comedy Week, where they are bringing together some of the brightest names in comedy including Sarah Silverman, Seth Rogen, The Lonely Island (featuring Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer) and Jeff Ross as well as a few of those folks that have created some of the most viewed videos on the web. Whether it is the musical styling of Garfunkel & Oates (Kate Micucci and Riki Lindhome), Beardyman and Epic Rap Battles in History or the solid humor of Eric Andre or Tim & Eric, you’ll find hours of enjoyment sitting in front of your computer with or without your pants on.

This past Sunday evening JoBlo.com was invited to the taping of the live show kicking off the event entitled “The Big Live Comedy Show.” In what can only be described as a bizarrely eclectic night of “entertainment,” the just over two hour show didn’t quite live up to that grand title. You can check out some of this event below, as it may be a little more entertaining in small doses (or if interested, there’s a lot more to see on the official YouTube site.

Now before we stepped into the auditorium we talked to a few of these fine folks on the red carpet – which frankly is where I found far more humor and fun than I did during the actual show. Tim & Eric talked about the joys of Red Lobster! Reggie Watts and I discuss killer bears and Beardyman and I sort of have sex… We both enjoyed the experience! And finally, Tom Green fills us in on the long awaited SHOULD BE sequel to FREDDY GOT FINGERED! He’s even got the perfect name for it! For all you YouTube fans, this will hopefully be a good week to gather a few chuckles online! (and for those yet unaware, JoBlo.com has one of the most viewed movie channels on YouTube RIGHT HERE!)
