Besides gracing its cover, Pamela Anderson was also interviewed by James Franco for the final nude issue of Playboy, and during their chat, Anderson said German filmmaker Werner Herzog has reached out to her about possibly appearing in an upcoming movie from the director.

Well, first I thought, Holy crap, the man who directed Fitzcarraldo wants to meet with me! We had lunch at Chateau Marmont, and he told me, “You are something special. You need to be on the big screen.” I couldn’t believe he said that. He has a project in mind for me, and I hope it materializes. The fact that I’m on his radar is really flattering.

As to what film Herzog has in mind for Anderson, it might be an adaptation of the DBC Pierre dark comedy novel Vernon Little God, which has a plot "involving a school shooting and death-row reality TV shows." Herzog was trying to get the movie off the ground early last year with a cast that included Anderson, Russell Brand, Mike Tyson, Austin Abrams and Sasha Pieterse, but there hasn't been any movement on the project since then, leading many to believe that it was dead in the water. But maybe Herzog is still planning on directing a film version of the book, and wanted to make sure Anderson is still down for appearing in it. Would you be interested in checking out a Werner Herzog-directed film adaptation of Vernon Little God starring Pamela Anderson?

QUEEN OF THE DESERT, Herzog's latest directorial effort starring James Franco, Nicole Kidman and Robert Pattinson, should be in theaters sometime next year, and you can read JimmyO's AFI Fest review of the film here.
