When ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS was released last year, many people--myself included--expected it to flop. $200 million later and we have ourselves a sequel--err squeakquel. Jason Lee and David Cross are featured in prominent roles but the first one was so reviled by critics that I doubt this one can be much better. Anna Faris, Christina Applegate, and Amy Poehler will be voicing The Chippettes the female counterparts to our beloved rodents. I say we all get super messed up and go see this. That, or we should snack on some broken glass.
