Top 20 of 2009!

Now that the New Year is here and we’ve all finally slept off those hangovers (sort of…), it’s time to take a look into 2009 to see what’s gonna help make the year ahead slightly less soul crushing. We’ve got superheroes, supervillains, bastards, robots, monsters and some exceptionally hairy dudes. So here’s out list of the Top 20 of 2009! Let us know below if we missed anything… (To clarify, this is not a list of our prediction for the Top 20 grossing films of 2009, just 20 movies we’re looking forward to the most…)

20. DISTRICT 9

(April 10)

At the Forest Ridge Mall, head of security Ronnie Barnhardt

17. LAND OF THE LOST
(June 5)

Space time vortexes suck.  Will Ferrell stars as has-been

(July 1)

14. FUNNY PEOPLE
(July 31)

George (Adam Sandler) is a very successful stand up comedian who
learns that he has an untreatable blood disorder and is given less than a year
to live. Ira (Seth Rogen) is a struggling up-and-coming stand up comedian who
works at a deli and has yet to figure out his onstage persona. One night, these
two perform at the same club and George takes notice of Ira. George hires Ira to
be his semi-personal assistant as well as his friend.

9. THE WOLFMAN
(November 6)

1. WATCHMEN
(March 6)

WATCHMEN is a story set in an alternative 1985, where the world
is ticking closer to the brink of nuclear war, and a plot to eliminate a band of
ex-crimefighters is instigated, but why? and by whom? It is up to two of those
ex-crimefighters to investigate the plot that seems to go beyond the
unthinkable.
