We realize rumors about the casting of the major superhero roles in Warner Bros.' big budget George Miller directed JUSTICE LEAGUE adaptation have been off da hizzle in the last few weeks but recently one particular set of rumors have come to the forefront that have been corroborated by multiple sites so either the internets is collectively agreeing to band together to promote one specific set of lies or there's some actual truth to them.
Courtesy of the good folks at Cinema Blend, the big news is that resident "Friday Night Lights" paraplegic former high school QB king Scott Porter will be donning the red and blue spandex to play the Man of Steel himself, Superman. Further, tattooed rapper Common is set to play John Stewart aka Green Lantern, fast talking pretty boy Adam Brody is set to play The Flash, Teresa Palmer is cast but not as Wonder Woman but rather as Talia Ghul, daughter of Batman nemesis Ra's Al Ghul (wait, Ghul as a villain again? What da dilly yo?) and finally, Michael Gough may be appearing as Bruce Wayne butler extraordinaire Alfred.
Presumably, an official casting announcement is imminent so we'll soon see to what degree all this turns out to be true.
Extra Tidbit:
In addition to the original line-up of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman and the Martian Manhunter, others such as Green Arrow, Atom, Hawkman, Black Canary, Captain Marvel, Plastic Man and a whole lot more have at one point also been part of the Justice League.

I remember the days when Jude Law and Josh Hartnett were "officially" confirmed to be starring in Batman vs. Superman..... JLA is not going to happen.
Actually, scratch that. A _quality_ JLA movie is never going to happen... I mean if Hollywood will shit out a sequel to Cheaper by the Dozen, then anything's possible right? |

JUST STOP!
No one is interested in this movie. It can't work! To many players, horrible cast (rumors or otherwise). Just stop while you're ahead. |

AGREED, WHAT'S ABOVE SOUNDS HORRIBLE..
Nothing against Michael Gough, but they have a perfectly good Alfred in Michael Caine right now. Scratch that, they have a perfectly good franchise in Batman right now period.
This is fixing to be the "Heaven's Gate" and "Waterworld" of the comics films.
But if they're so hellbent on making JLA, I wanna see a live-action Zatanna for once, played by Gretchen Mol. That would be hot. |

ENOUGH, PLEASE!!!
Why don't we all just shut the fuck up until an authentic, 100%, studio released announcement is made? Is movieland sooo boring that we have to read about JLA this much? Who actually gives a shit about JLA besides joblo? I'll get excited after the first trailer is released and I recommend you all do the same. We should be talking about how terrible Beowulf was! What a piece of shit! See what too much hype does. |

HOW WRONG WE WERE
Last year, we had no idea how badly people wouldn't want to see a JLA movie. We were ignorant to the ways a property like this could suck. We held steadfast in our belief that the teaming of the greatest heroes DC had to offer was the ultimate cash cow. Oh,how wrong we were. This shite's gonna suck. |

Wow, that sounds REALLY bad. Almost bad enough to make me watch Batman 3 again.... almost. But seriously, sounds like direct to DVD trash to me. |

WELL, @#$%.
It's almost hard to believe that the WB's suits are stupid enough to deliberately derail ANOTHER wildly successful Batman franchise, not to mention a moderately successful Superman franchise as well as a potentially successful Wonder Woman franchise...all in favour of an obvious train-wreck that even an overwhelming majority of fanboys (its target audience!) don't want to see.
Superman III. Superman IV. Batman Forever. Batman & Robin. Catwoman. Constantine.
SIGH.
How's that definition of insanity go again...? |

I really hate this movie and wish it would be dumped, but now I'm actually kind of excited just because I can't wait to see teh studios lose millions and millions of dollars. It just might bang some sense into those idiots. But, here's hoping it actually does flop. |

JLA + MTV
This looks like its going to be MTV'd out. Warner Bros has done pretty good with their comic adaptations so far. I guess there is a first time for everything. |
