Spider-Man 2 explores the Peter's character as he faces new challenges and struggles with "the gift and the curse," desperately trying to balance his dual identities as the web-slinging superhero Spider-Man and his life as a college student. Tormented by his secrets, Peter finds that his relationships with all those he holds dear are in danger of unraveling. His life-long yearning for M.J. (Dunst) becomes even stronger as he fights the impulse to reveal his secret life and declare his love. His friendship with Harry Osborn (Franco) is complicated by the young Osborn's bitterness over his father's death and his growing vendetta against Spider-Man. Even Peter's beloved Aunt May (Harris), who has fallen on hard times after the death of Uncle Ben, begins to have doubts about her nephew. Peter's life is about to become even more complicated as he encounters a formidable new foe -- Dr. Otto Octavius (Molina). Peter must use all the powers at his disposal to try to stop this diabolical madman in his octagonal tracks.

May 30, 2006: Marvel movie madness:
UPDATE: It seems from some of the Schmoe strike-back comments below that the bottom-most item here (the "Aunt May/Carnage" thing) was taken by some as a potentially legitimate piece of casting news. This certainly wasn't the intention and, thanks to Shawn , the...
May 29, 2006: Spidey 3 set pics:
A friend of mine has maintained a theory on SPIDER-MAN 3 that the pictures of Thomas Haden Church in Sandman garb and the reports that Topher Grace is Eddie Brock were merely some sort of intentionally misleading marketing stunt. Church is Brock and Grace is...

April 11, 2006: Church talks Venom:

April 7, 2006: Church talks Spidey 3:
While doing the press rounds for OVER THE HEDGE, Thomas Hayden Church was, of course, grilled about his work as Flint Marko aka Sandman on SPIDER-MAN 3 . When asked about Raimi's directorial style, he mentioned "It's very choreographed because, not unlike...

January 30, 2006: Spidey 3 pics...:
They're grainy, they're blurry and they're completely out of context and make no sense. So pretty much exactly what you thought the first set pics from SPIDER-MAN 3 would be like. A couple of shots of Kirsten Dunst filming a scene from SPIDER-MAN 3 are online...
January 24, 2006: More Spidey 3 casting:
Well it's not the Felicia Hardy we know and love but we do get a BLACK female in SPIDER-MAN 3. Actress Theresa Russell (BLACK WIDOW) has signed on to co-star in the film as the wife of Sandman, aka Flint Marko (Thomas Haden Church). From what I remember...
January 19, 2006: Gwen Stacy! Venom! Confirmed!:

September 26, 2005: Spidey 3 villains are...:
I have a feeling Avi Arad isn't gonna be too happy with his SPIDER-MAN 3 star Kirsten Dunst. The actress, while out promoting ELIZABEHTOWN, trumped Marvel and Sony by revealing the two villians Thomas Haden Church and Topher Grace would be playing in the third...
September 8, 2005: Topher is Venom?:
Most of us had pretty much given up hope of seeing Venom in SPIDER-MAN 3 . Sam Raimi has

Not so – with all of the controversy surrounding Michael
Moore’s FAHRENHEIT 9/11 , the highly
anticipated...
