He\'s right in the sense that people like Christian Bale won\'t be defined as just Batman, his volumes of stellar work pre-Batman help him transcend this. But for lesser well-known actors they can fall into this trap....

He\'s right in the sense that people like Christian Bale won\'t be defined as just Batman, his volumes of stellar work pre-Batman help him transcend this. But for lesser well-known actors they can fall into this trap. Elijah = Frodo, Tobey = Spidey, Reeves = Superman, and people like poor Patrick Stewart get it twice as bad, he always either Picard or Xavier.

Great interview, all 3 min of it that is. I thought Andy dodged the question about what he brought new to the character. I liked that he mentioned the Torment storyline, one of the best Spidey stories ever.
