Who joins Magneto? May. 14, 2008
Source: LatinoReview
by: James Thoo

Spy with a heart of gold, George Roush over at LatinoReview, while visiting the creature effects shop for HELLBOY II, came upon the knowledge that a young Hank McCoy aka. Beast will be making an appearance in MAGNETO. Check out all the details over HERE.

X-MEN ORIGINS: MAGNETO is written and directed by David Goyer, with all of the roles yet to be cast. It will look at the early life of Eric Lensherr, his relationship with Charles Xavier, and how the two eventually became mortal enemies. How that happens is still open to speculation, but it probably has something to do with that heinous title. Seriously, that's a freaking horrible name for a movie.

Extra Tidbit: Totally off-topic, but you should definitely check out my buddy Jason's piece on SURF NINJAS over at the DVD Clinic. It is one of my favorite movies ever. If you've seen it, I'm sure you feel the same.

SHIT
I'll bet my fucking bollocks that a Magneto solo movie will flop. People want to see a Magneto spin off as much as they asked for a Catwoman solo flick. If they want to spin off from the X-Men movies then Wolverine-fine, maybe a New Mutants movie would work also. Whats their next idea? A solo Rogue movie? The Further adventures of Kitty Pride? The Leech Chronicles?

NOOOO!!!
YOUNG versions of our favorite heroes? I was pretty much seeing this only for Ian McKellan, but now, I don't think so.

UH...OK...
First off Beast wasn't 'young' when he became Beast, second the guy's description of the photo he saw had a tail, Beast does not have a tail, then he goes on to say that it might be Nightcrawler, but what he had seen in the photo looked more like Beast with a tail, I don't know what to think any more, but Nightcrawler in the film would make more sence since Mystique (in the comics) is his mother, but then again FOX can always find a way to screw things up (X3).

The title isn't that bad. They're trying to connect their 'origin' films.

I'm glad I am not the only person alive who appreciates Surf Ninjas even to this day. I saw it as a kid when it first came to VHS and now I own it on dvd and watch it at least once a month.
