If you happen to be a fan of Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, then the soundtrack for WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE is just for you.

We don't usually throw up soundtracks for a movie on the site, but we knew that most of you were excited about the adventures of Max and the wild things. Plus, as I've stated before, music and movies go hand in hand. If a movie has a good soundtrack to accompany it, then it's that much better.

The soundtrack features music from Karen O and and The Kids. The kids that accompany Karen O are artists from other bands you may or may not know: Tristan Bechet (Services), Tom Biller (co-producer with Karen O and member of Afternoons), Bradford Cox (Deerhunter), Brian Chase (Yeah Yeah Yeahs), Dean Fertita (Queens of the Stone Age, The Dead Weather, The Raconteurs), Aaron Hemphill (Liars), Greg Kurstin (The Bird and the Bee), Jack Lawrence (The Dead Weather, The Raconteurs, The Greenhornes), Oscar Michel (Gris Gris), Imaad Wasif (New Folk Implosion, Alaska), Nick Zinner, (Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and an untrained children’s choir.

Even though the movie has yet to come out, it's obvious to see how this soundtrack fits in. It's enjoyable, fun, and reminiscent of childhood, just like the film will be.

Extra Tidbit: If you liked the Arcade Fire song that played over the trailer for the movie, I think I have another one you might like as well. This is one of my current favorites from the band.

This soundtrack is just amazing. It already fits well on its own, but Im sure I will like it more once I see the songs used in the film. And I loved me some Karen O.

What a perfectly mediocre blend of artists! The music's not bad though, probably goes great with the film.

with the world in such a dismal state its music like this that keeps things in perspective. Kinda gives the feel of being a kid and wrapping yourself up in a blanket on a snow day prior to building a fort. Cant wait for the film.

I freakin love Arcade Fire. I wish they'd make another cd already. As for the Karen O stuff, it seems like it'll fit the film pretty well.

Wow, I was really hoping we'd get that acoustic version of "Wake Up" on the soundtrack. I really want a full version of that.
