Actually, Clerks wasn't the only one Jay and Silent Bon initially got NC-17, due mostly in part because of Semen jokes. Parts of the George Carlin hitch hiking scene had to be cut to bring down to R. You can see Kevin Smith and Mewes talking about it on the DVD deleted scenes. MPAA doesnt like male fluid dicussion or anything of the sort. Glad to see this got an R, and Im also glad shit got cut so we have content for an Unrated dvd. Go Kevin! |

If he cuts anything even for pacing, won't the new version have to be submitted to the MPAA again? And won't that mean they'll get another chance to slap it with NC-17, since it is apparently borderline? Cause that would be amusing.
Has anyone heard if this is supposed to be slapsticky Kevin Smith (ala J&S Strike Back) or smart Kevin Smith (ala Clerks, Chasing Amy)? I don't know if I should be looking forward to this, or be preparing to be annoyed by it. |

Well, if he did cut 15 mins, and it's still good, the unrated dvd that's sure to follow will only be that much better.
And the reason his fans like him is because he actually likes his fans right back. |

man, i really dont get why Kevin Smith has so many passionate fans, his movies are average at best, in my opinion, and all this fuss for a rating decision is plain ridiculous |

ooooooooooh.
Wow. Kevin Smith's publicity machine has really hooked you guys. I'd hate for what I'm sure is a brilliant piece of film to be seen by anyone other than his loyal fans. |

SWEET
Im glad it made an R rating, but why is it being released on halloween? The Weinstein Co release movies on some weird dates. Grindhouse opens on easter weekend, The Mist opens on thanksgiving weekend now ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO on halloween? Weird |
