Zombie, Jackass deets

Earlier this month, we told about two upcoming sequels that were getting ready to shoot in 3D – JACKASS 3 and ZOMBIELAND 2. Today we have some additional details on both movies. Variety has chimed in on the reports and said that director Ruben Fleischer has officially signed on to direct the sequel, which original writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are busy scripting as we speak. Negotiations are currently underway for Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson to reprise their roles in the second film. Of the move to 3D, producer Gavin Palone said, “Everyone had fun watching ZOMBIELAND; making it a more visceral experience can only make it better.”

As for JACKASS 3D, while a third movie was confirmed to be in the works and actually has a January 25th start date for filming. But apparently the 3D format isn’t 100% locked down. Director Jeff Tremaine is currently working on camera tests to make sure they’ll be able to use the 3D format for the stunts they’re preparing. In true JACKASS fashion though, they claim the movie will be filmed in Knob Lick, Kentucky, Mianus, Connecticut, Fukang, China, Buttzville, New Jersey and Gayville, South Dakota.
