A King comes from nothing in latest King Arthur: Legend of the Sword teaser

For a film which is slated to be released in less than 4 months, it's a little strange that we haven't seen more of Guy Ritchie's KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD, especially if Warner Bros. really is hoping that this will be the first of a six-film franchise. The release of the film has already been delayed several times, which Guy Ritchie has attributed to staying away from the "competition," but Ritchie says that the added time has given his team the opportunity to continue to tweak and improve the visual effects. I suppose we won't have long to wait to see if Ritchie has been able to pull it off and launch a new SHERLOCK HOLMES-style franchise, but in the meantime, a new teaser trailer for KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD has arrived which gives us another peek at Ritchie's take on Camelot.

The official synopsis for KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD:

The bold new story introduces a streetwise young Arthur who runs the back alleys of Londonium with his gang, unaware of the life he was born for until he grasps hold of the sword Excalibur—and with it, his future. Instantly challenged by the power of Excalibur, Arthur is forced to make some hard choices. Throwing in with the Resistance and a mysterious young woman named Guinevere, he must learn to master the sword, face down his demons and unite the people to defeat the tyrant Vortigern, who stole his crown and murdered his parents, and become King.

KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD is set for a May 12, 2017 release.
