Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom first look smashed into DC FanDome like a tidal wave

DC FanDome hit fans with an Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom first look video that takes audiences on a sprawling adventure under the sea.

Today’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom first look featurette takes us behind-the-scenes of the James Wan-directed sequel and teases plenty of underwater action for fans of the 2018 original. Led by Aquaman himself, Jason Momoa, the video takes us on a tour of the set as members of the cast and crew describe how the sequel will be bigger, more bombastic, and take audiences on a globe-trotting adventure. Check out the featurette and some new stills below!

James Wan has previously teased that the Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will once again contain a touch of horror. “I would say yes. Just like the first movie had a touch of my horror sensibility in it, in regards to the Trench sequence, I would say there’ll be a little bit of that in this next one,” Wan explained. “I think it’s something that’s a big part of who I am, and it just naturally comes out in these kinds of films. And especially a movie like Aquaman, you know where the story takes place in these underwater worlds that can be very scary. So naturally, my love for the horror genre just means that I latch myself to these scenes and try to give them a little bit more of my scary sauce.” Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will hit theaters on December 16, 2022.
