Batman v Superman Enhanced Edition to stream on HBO Max next week

Exactly one week from today, chances are pretty good that many of you will be streaming Zack Snyder's Justice League on HBO Max, but that film isn't the only DCEU flick landing on the streaming service that day as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will also be available. However, this won't be the regular version of the film as it will offer enhanced colour and an expanded aspect ratio.

Zack Snyder has been working on this remaster of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice since last year, saying in an interview with I Minutemen that its meant to replace what he views to be a flawed version of the 4K Ultra HD release. "It's meant to, especially for the special edition, it's to replace the one that was kind of messed up a little bit… The Blu-ray I think, it was okay, but just not the [4K]," Snyder said. "I remember watching it on Apple movies or wherever it was, or somewhere, and going, 'Wait, what? That's not, that's not correct.' The reds were all blocked up, it was really weird." Speaking of interviews, we've got our own exclusive interview with Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder coming up next week, so keep an eye out for those!

The newly enhanced and expanded Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be streaming on HBO Max on March 18th, along with Zack Snyder's Justice League, and the remastered 4K Ultra HD release of Batman v Superman will drop on March 23rd.
