We’ve got some quick acquisition news to pass along to you guys as Deadline reports that Millennium Entertainment has picked up U.S. rights to the psychological thriller DEAD WITHIN from director Ben Wagner, his 3:41am shingle and Aengus James and Colin King Miller’s This Is Just a Test Productions. Amy Cale Peterson (Wagner’s "Southbounders") and Dean Chekvala (above) both star. We see cabin-set horror flicks quite a bit in the genre so hopefully Wagner has found a new way to spin the familiar setting. Time will tell!
The film was written by Wagner and his actors with Matthew Bradford as it follows…
…a man and a woman who survive a deadly outbreak by isolating themselves in a cabin. When they run out of resources and are forced to open the door, they must confront the horrors that threaten them from outside and from within.
Right now Millennium is eyeing a multi-platform release in the fall with SC Films distributing internationally. Look for more soon!
