The downside is that tickets might cost you up to a steep $130 — because the duo is teaming up on Broadway for the police play “A Steady Rain.”
Although Jackman is known more for song-and-dance on stage (he won a Tony for the Peter Allen musical “The Boy from Oz”), “Rain” is a tuneless drama about two Chicago cops whose friendship is “rocked by a domestic dispute that is not what it seems.”
The show opens at the Schoenfeld Theater in September and runs through the end of 2009, so don’t expect to hear too many film-related announcements for either of the heavy hitters for a while.
