Bruno at SXSW!

For a big movie coming out this summer, things have been relatively quiet on the BRUNO front. No posters, no trailer, no viral marketing…nothing. That’s all about to change. Sacha Baron Cohen’s next comedy masterpiece will be making a big splash at this year’s SXSW. While the entire film itself won’t be screening (though Universal is bringing a cut of DRAG ME TO HELL), there will be a “sneak peek” of footage from the film.

On Sunday, March 15th at 11pm the first footage from BRUNO will be unveiled before public eyes. It’s unclear how much you’ll see but it’s noted that the DRAG ME screening is “immediately following” and has a start time of 11:59pm so expect a good 45 minutes of your favorite Austrian fashion reporter (UPDATE – Universal checked in to refute my math and confirm a 20 minute runtime for the footage). The footage screening will take place at Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar and costs nothing and no badge is required. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal, eh? Sadly this guy won’t be in attendance but hopefully some of our Austinite friends would be kind enough to let us know how it goes.
