Chris Hemsworth will be answering phones in Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters

Who you gonna call? Chris Hemsworth apparently, as he's just joined the cast of Paul Feig's GHOSTBUSTERS in the role of the new team's receptionist. Paul Feig, whose latest film SPY has been doing quite well, announced the news himself on Twitter and you can check out his announcement for yourself right here:

Chris Hemsworth will join Kate McKinnon Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, and Leslie Jones in the new comedy and I have to say, I quite like this casting. Hemsworth definitely has the comedy chops to pull something like this off and watching him verbally spar as well as take orders from McCarthy, Wiig, McKinnon, and Jones should be a treat.

In the original GHOSTBUSTERS films Annie Potts played Janine Melnitz, the no-nonsense receptionist to the Ghostbusters team, to perfection. Her dry wit and snappy comebacks were always memorable and it should be noted that Potts' character also harboured quite the crush on Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis); might Hemsworth's character find himself smitten with a member of this new team?

GHOSTBUSTERS is set for a July 22, 2016 release.

How do you folks feel about this latest casting news? Is Hemsworth's involvement enough to get you on board?
