Cool Horror Gear: Funko’s The Lost Boys

This July, the f*cking adorable powers that be over at Funko will be unleashing an all-new collection based on director Joel Schumacher's classic 80's vampire flick THE LOST BOYS starring Jason Patric, Kiefer Sutherland, Corey Haim, and Corey Feldman.

Funko's Pop! Movies collectibles feature the movie's main brothers Sam and Michael, along with Sutherland's David carrying a box of noodles (that are probably worms), and The Frog Brothers, Edgar and Alan, who will be available as a two-pack exclusively through the Funko Shop in July.

You can check out a gallery of pics of the product below, and then make plans to snag your own come July. Personally, I'm loving the David and the Frog Brothers figures. I can do without Sam and Michael. Life too short and the space on my toy shelf is incredibly limited these days.

And while we're at it, where is the best character in the whole movie's Funko figure? You know of whom I speak… Now in case you grew up in a different era than the rest of us, the plot of THE LOST BOYS goes like this:

Teenage brothers Michael (Jason Patric) and Sam (Corey Haim) move with their mother (Dianne Wiest) to a small town in northern California. While the younger Sam meets a pair of kindred spirits in geeky comic-book nerds Edward (Corey Feldman) and Alan (Jamison Newlander), the angst-ridden Michael soon falls for Star (Jami Gertz) — who turns out to be in thrall to David (Kiefer Sutherland), leader of a local gang of vampires. Sam and his new friends must save Michael and Star from the undead.

The original film was directed by the above-mentioned Joel Schumacher from a screenplay written by James Jeremias, Janice Fischer, and Jeffrey Boam from a story by Jeremias and Fischer. It was originally released on July 31, 1987. You can buy the original film on Blu-ray right HERE.
