Cool Horror Videos: Awfully Good: Dracula vs. Frankenstein

As horror fans we celebrate every month like it's October, but since Halloween is almost upon us we're doing a lot of fun stuff throughout the month (including our October Massacre – Horror Review A Day, so be sure to check in every day this month for a new one!). While we take a look back at some of our favorite horror flicks with new reviews, we're also taking the time to not-so-fondly remember some real stinkers with AWFULLY GOOD MOVIES, and today we're taking a look at Al Adamson's 1971 turkey DRACULA VS. FRANKENSTEIN.

Dear God, this movie is terrible…but in a fun way! I remember being fooled by the clever VHS cover into renting this turd as a kiddo, and I honestly can't remember if I made it all the way through the flick. The film concerns..

A mad scientist (played by J. Carrol Naish) descended from the original Dr. Frankenstein takes to murdering young women for experimentation in hopes of reviving his ancestor's creation, with help from his mute assistant (played by Lon Chaney, Jr.). Things start to heat up when Dracula (played by Zandor Vorkov) arrives and promises to revive Frankenstein's monster in return for a serum which will grant him immortality.

It's a real mess of a film, but if you're into that kind of thing you might get a kick out of it. Peep our AWFULLY GOOD MOVIES: DRACULA VS. FRANKENSTEIN below and see if it looks to be the kind of flick worth taking in on a Bad Movie Night.
