Dark Sky to release anthology film Mexico Barbaro on November 3

Dark Sky has announced that they've set a November 3, 2015 DVD and VOD release date for MEXICO BARBARO, an anthology film that features eight short horror tales, each directed by a different Mexican director and based on Mexican traditions and legends.

MEXICO BARBARO presents haunting stories that have been woven into the fabric of a nation's culture, some passed down through the centuries and some new, but all equally frightening. Stories of boogeymen, trolls, ghosts, monsters, Aztec sacrifices and of course the Day of the Dead all come together in urban and rural settings to create an anthology that is as original as it is familiar and as important as it is horrifying.

The directors are Jorge Michel Grau, Isaac Ezban, Laurette Flores, Ulises Guzmán, Edgar Nito, Lex Ortega, Gigi Saul Guerrero, and Aaron Soto. Their stories include

a modern take on Hitchcock’s Rear Window, a tale set in a strip club on the Day of the Dead, a rash of corpse stealing, ancient savage Mexican traditions, and decomposing dolls, among other gleefully grisly goings-on.

Sounds like a great time to me, it's a just a shame that its release date is coming right after both Halloween and Day of the Dead rather than before, because it sounds like it would be perfect viewing for either occasion. Even if I can't watch it on a holiday, MEXICO BARBARO is still one that I will be checking out for sure.
