Donald and Mickey are Anakin and Obi-Wan in hilarious TikTok video

While the STAR WARS prequels didn't quite measure up to the original trilogy, you can't deny George Lucas' ambition. Narratively they didn't always work but in terms of scope and spectacle they were a bullseye to a womp rat's forehead. Hands down the best of the prequel trilogy is 2005's REVENGE OF THE SITH. Finally audiences got to see Anakin's fall to the dark side and rise to Darth Vader. The film also for my money has the best lightsaber battles in the entire franchise. Yes that includes Duel of the Fates from THE PHANTOM MENACE.

What's great about REVENGE OF THE SITH is that besides being a visual feast for the eyes, there's a lot of little scenes that stand out. Whether it's Anakin and Palpatine discussing Darth Plagueis at an opera or Yoda, Ob-Wan, and Bail Organa deciding where to send the Skywalker twins, the film is rife with these moments in time. One in particular comes just towards the tail end of the lightsaber duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan. Possessing the high ground, Obi-Wan implores Anakin not to try to attack him but in his hubris Anakin does so and gets diced up by Obi-Wan. It's an amazing little scene where all the emotions burst forth between master and apprentice.

However, have you ever felt that something vital was missing from this scene? Something that could have added a bit of levity? Something like, I don't know, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck? Well thankfully TikTok, the latest social media craze, has you covered. TikTok user Tomotasauce thought it would be interesting to replicate the high ground scene from REVENGE OF THE SITH but replace Ewan McGregor's voice with Mickey Mouse and Hayden Christensen's voice with Donald Duck. The results are as hilarious as you'd expect:

Wow. I honestly didn't know I needed this until today. Not only are the imitations of Donald and Mickey spot on, it somehow works in the context of the video. Furthermore, Tomotasauce doesn't try to play this for laughs but rather has both Disney characters be as straight-laced and dramatic as possible. Consequently, it results in something exponentially more hilarious than you might expect. In addition, Tomotasauce took his love for REVENGE OF THE SITH even farther, using the Donald/Mickey tactic in the scenes where Mace Windu tries to arrest Palpatine and where Emperor Palpatine enacts Order 66. It really is a thing of beauty.

Did you guys find this video as funny as I did? Do you use TikTok? Are you up for more of these videos? Excited about the Obi-Wan series? Sound off in the comments below!
