Doug Bradley says he would absolutely return as Pinhead

This news is too cool.

The guys over at Bloody Disgusting caught up with Doug Bradley recently and talked to him about returning to the iconic role of Pinhead. Not only did the man have some encouraging words to spill on the subject but he also dropped what his favorite HELLRAISER sequel is, and f*cking a, it's MY favorite sequel as well!

But we'll get to that at the end.

To begin, it seems that Bradley is more than willing to come back to the world of the Cenobites! He even says his dream project would be an adaptation of Clive Barker's THE SCARLETT GOSPELS – but quickly makes sure to squash any potential rumors that the flick is currently in any form of development.

It's worth mentioning that Bradley makes a dig against the upcoming HELLRAISER: JUDGEMENT, basically saying the upcoming flick – like REVELATIONS before it – doesn't have the right motives behind it. Not sure what he means by that, especially considering he says he hasn't read the script, but I'm still looking forward to checking out the new film when it ever finally gets a release date.

Anyways, you can read Bradley's comments on returning as Pinhead below and then let us know how excited you'd be to see THE Pinhead return on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

Doug Bradley on returning as Pinhead:

I’d absolutely be open to doing it again. I’ve never closed the door on the idea. Right place, right time, right motives (unlike Revelation and Judgement) right script etc, etc, who knows. A full-on adaptation of The Scarlet Gospels would be a perfect end to the journey – and before any Internet rumours start: No, I don’t know of any such plans and no-one has spoken to me about it. Just a thought.

Bradley on the other actors who have taken over as Pinhead:

I’m pretty relaxed about other actors playing the role. I made a conscious choice to turn Revelations down and did so for a variety of reasons. I finally watched it at the beginning of last year. It fully vindicated my decision to reject it. Judgment is slightly different in that the decision was effectively taken out of my hands and I didn’t even get to read the screenplay. The movie will have to be released before I get a chance to see it. I won’t be racing to watch it, but I won’t avoid it either.

Since I turned down both movies, it follows that I knew other actors would get to play the part. Good luck to them. I don’t know about ’taking over’, either: enjoying temporary ownership, maybe.

Finally, what is Bradley's personal favorite Hellraiser sequel?

That would be a close call between Hellbound and Hell On Earth. And I tend to give the latter the nod.

Amen, Mr. Bradley. Amen. I don't make it any kind of secret around these parts that I'm a huge HELLRAISER III: HELL ON EARTH fan. Truth be told I only peeped the flick for the first time earlier this year, and I am still pissed at many of my horror comrades for not pushing the film on me earlier.

What the hell is wrong with them??

Thank God AITH was there to sing its praises on THE F*CKING BLACK SHEEP!
