Friday the 13th: The Game has reached its funding goal

Back on October 13th, a month-long Kickstarter campaign went live for Friday the 13th: The Game, which is being developed by Gun Media and IllFonicĀ in partnership with Crystal Lake Entertainment.

The campaign had a goal of $700,000, and with just over two days left it has officially surpassed that goal. Friday the 13th: The Game is going to be made!

The game is expected to be released in the fall of 2016, and will be available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. But just because the campaign has raised enough money to make it happen doesn't mean that fans who want it to be the best experience it can possibly be should stop contributing to it. There are stretch goals listed all the way up to $5.5 million, the game's developers have a lot of ideas for it that you can still help bring to fruition.

Friday the 13th: The Game is an online, asymmetric multiplayer experience where one player will assume the role of Jason Voorhees against seven other players assuming the roles of camp counselors trying to survive the night.

The stretch goal I would most like to see get unlocked is the Single Player Survival Challenge Mode, but that's not a possibility until $1,625,000 has been raised. So let's keep making that pledge number rise!

If you want to get in on the campaign in its final days, it can be found at this link.
