George Clooney will no longer be The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

Steven Soderbergh is still set to direct and production is slated for February 2012. Scott Z. Burns (CONTAGION) recently finished the script for the film which is said to still be set in the 60s and will stay faithful to the original series.

James Bond author Ian Fleming was even a creator of the show, which focused on the adventures of American and Russian members of a secret agency called the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement.”

Clooney was set to play the Robert Vaughn role. I wonder who Soderbergh will look to now.
