It's been quite a while since we received an update on the status of HOUSE OF MANSON, a Charles Manson biopic that we shared a trailer for back in April of 2014. The film has been busy making the festival rounds since then, but the update we have now is a great one for our U.S.-based readers who have been looking forward to seeing it but couldn't make it out to one of its festival screenings: Gravitas Ventures will be releasing HOUSE OF MANSON onto digital platforms and physical media in the United States on August 5th.
Directed by Brandon Slagle, the film
follows the life of Charles Manson from childhood to his arrest at Barker Ranch following his involvement in the deaths at the Tate and LaBianca residences (among others) during the summer of 1969, which ultimately led to his trial and sentencing.
Ryan Kiser stars as Charles Manson, with Devanny Pinn as Susan Atkins, Reid Warner as Tex Watson, Tristan Risk as Abigail Folger, and Suzi Lorraine as Sharon Tate. The cast also includes Serena Lorien, Erin Marie Hogan, Britt Griffith, Chriss Anglin, Julie Rose, and Maxine Wasa.
HOUSE OF MANSON was previously released in the U.K. under the shortened title MANSON.
