Gwyneth Paltrow wins Halloween with her amazing Seven costume

**Those who have not seen SEVEN should beware spoilers below. If this applies to you then you need to fix your life quick.**

One of the most iconic movie endings of all time saw a broken-down Brad Pitt shouting “What’s in the box?!” at the end of David Fincher’s SEVEN. Of course, we all knew what was in the box, and it was that of Gwyneth Paltrow’s head. She played Pitt’s wife in the movie and met a cruel fate at the hands of John Doe (Kevin Spacey), and the scene has become such an unforgettable moment in movie history that even the actress can’t help but poke fun at it.

Taking to Instagram this weekend, Paltrow officially won the internet by posting a pic of her Halloween costume which included her donning a box over her head, while her boyfriend, Brad Falchuk dressed as Doe. This may or may not be the most meta thing ever, but at the very least it’s better than whatever pun-related costume everyone else had going on.

Even Paltrow didn't feel like so there was anything more to say, including only a pumpkin emoji in the caption. In kind, we should all just take a moment to give a round of applause, as there is nothing left to do but shower praise.

The actress is the only person who can make this costume work so well because anyone else would just look like a nut with a box on their head. The ending has truly become a staple in pop culture, with "What's in the box" references lending themselves to almost any situation where a box, or box-like object, may contain a bit of mystery. There's not much else to say other than she nailed it, and everyone else may not even try. Halloween is officially done, everyone. Pack it all up, and better luck next year.
