Halo TV series teaser shows short glimpse at live-action Master Chief

More than three years have gone by since it was first announced that a TV series based on the popular video game franchise Halo was in the works, but the premiere of that show is now so close that they’ve released a teaser trailer for it! It’s a short teaser, just 25 seconds, and it doesn’t show much, but it promises that we’ll have the chance to watch the iconic Master Chief in action when Halo reaches the Paramount+ streaming service in 2022.

Pablo Schreiber is the actor under the helmet of Master Chief,

Earth’s most advanced warrior in the 26th century and the only hope of salvation for a civilization pushed to the brink of destruction by the Covenant, an unstoppable alliance of alien worlds committed to the destruction of humanity.

Schreiber is joined in the cast by Natasha McElhone as Dr. Halsey, “the brilliant, conflicted and inscrutable creator of the Spartan super soldiers”; Jen Taylor as Cortana, “the most advanced AI in human history, and potentially the key to the survival of the human race”; and newcomer Yerin Ha as a new character named Quan Ah, “a shrewd, audacious 16-year-old from the Outer Colonies who meets Master Chief at a fateful time for them both.”

Bokeem WoodbineShabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy, Charlie Murphy, and Danny Sapani will also be appearing on the show.

The Halo series is said to “weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure, and a richly imagined vision of the future.” The show is executive produced by showrunners Kyle Killen and Steven Kane, along with Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey of Amblin Television, in partnership with 343 Industries, director Otto Bathurst and Toby Leslie for One Big Picture, Scott Pennington for Chapter Eleven, and Karen Richards.

It’s not much, but what do you think of this first Halo TV series teaser?
