A nervous looking Sue Snell shows up in latest Carrie image

The Kimberly Peirce directed remake of CARRIE is almost upon us as its October 18th release date is just around the corner. We've got a new image for you guys to check out that features a not-so-exciting look at Gabriella Wilde who plays Sue Snell in the film—hey, it's better than nothing right! I know a lot of people are doubting this one but I have to admit that I've been on board from the get-go. While most remakes rarely come close to capturing the same magic as the original, every once in a while a good one rolls around and it can be refreshing as hell. Time will tell on this one but so far the acting appears to be spot on from both Moretz and Julianne Moore, who is always great, and the more I see from it the better it looks. Obviously it could turn out to be total shit, but for now you can count me in!

CARRIE tells the supernatural tale of a telekinetic teenage girl tormented by her peers. The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine, is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White (Moore) and her daughter, Carrie (Moretz). Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society. Gym teacher Miss Desjardin (Greer) tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson (Portia Doubleday), but only Chris’ best friend, Sue Snell (Gabriella Wilde), regrets their actions. In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross (Ansel Elgort), to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc.

Directed by Kimberly Peirce, CARRIE stars Chloe Grace Moretz, Julianne Moore, Judy Greer and Portia Doubleday. The film will terrorize theaters on October 18th.
