Alcon Entertainment taps Brian Dannelly for faux-vampire comedy Suckers

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

Production company Alcon Entertainment (THE WICKER MAN, the upcoming BEAUTIFUL CREATURES) has tapped Brian Dannelly to direct SUCKERS, a high school comedy-thriller written by Adrian Vina.

SUCKERS centers on a high schooler who tries to become popular when he moves to a new school by telling everyone he’s a vampire. But he runs into trouble when he’s accused of a murder.

That kid sounds like a real moron, but I guess we’ll wait and see how it all plays out…

Dannelly has directed episodes of “Weeds” and “The United States of Tara” in the past; he also helmed the 2004 comedy SAVED! starring Mandy Moore (below) and Macaulay Culkin.

Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson are producing for Alcon. No timetable has been set for SUCKERS yet.
