American Horror Story: Asylum gets a rosy new teaser

My God, I love these teaser promos for AMERICAN HORROR STORY: ASYLUM. With only ten-seconds to spare they end up freaking my sh*t out more than any horror movie I’ve seen in years. The religious imagery, the sexual overtones, the surrealist style– they’re like perfect, bite-sized art horror films.

The newest, titled “White Rose”, is no different. We’ve got a white rose, a black background, and an abrupt surprise to make you flinch in your seat. This one’s a little more jump scare-based than the others, but it works. Works so well my DVR is practically quivering in fear at the idea of recording the series. Then again, my DVR was born a coward, but that’s okay– he has a big heart.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY SEASON 2 premieres on FX this October, though no official date has yet been released. Jessica Lange, James Cromwell, Adam Levine, Jenna Dewan, Blake Sheldon, Chris Zylka, Joseph Fiennes, Chloe Sevigny, Clea Duvall (below), Mark Consuelos, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe and Zachary Quinto are all starring. Kill ten seconds in the best way possible below, and while you’re at it watch the others, too. Rumor has it they will be cut together to form the show’s intro credits. If so, this marketing campaign is even more genius than I imagined.
