Blumhouse invites Genesis Rodriguez to come Home with Topher Grace

TUSK actress Genesis Rodriguez has signed on to join Topher Grace in Blumhouse Productions’ supernatural thriller HOME, which Universal will distribute under its first-look deal with Jason Blum’s production company, according to The Wrap.

We've been keeping tabs on HOME, bringing you the news that Topher Grace has signed on for the supernatural spookfest last month.

Additionally, Patricia Clarkson is still in negotiations to co-star in the project, which will be directed by Dennis Iliadis, best known as the helmer behind the 2009 remake of THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT and last years mind-bending PLUS 1.

Adam Alleca wrote the script which centers on…

…a man (Grace), recently released from a mental institute, who inherits a mansion after his parents die. After a series of disturbing events, he comes to believe it is haunted.

The project was initially set up with Wes Craven’s Craven/Maddalena Films and even had Brittany Snow attached to star at one point.

Leonardo DiCaprio and his Appian Way partner Jennifer Killoran then teamed up with Graham King to produce the project, but it gained traction in the last couple of months when Blum became involved.

Blum is now producing with DiCaprio, Killoran and King.
