It’s been quite a while since we’ve heard anything regarding Tom Mattera and David Mazzoni’s highly anticipated thriller THE FIELDS. Alright… maybe it’s not that highly anticipated but that doesn’t change the fact we haven’t had an update on this biotch since October! So what’s the deal?
Well word spreading across these here interwebs has THE FIELDS finally scoring itself a release! About time. It seems Breaking Glass, who recently snatched up the domestic rights for this one, thought now is the perfect time to announce the film’s release. You ready for this? THE FIELDS will be dropping in just under three months in a big April release. Now I know we don’t have an exact date.. or if this thing will even be hitting theaters… but hey at least it’s something!
THE FIELDS a psychological thriller based on actual events that took place in a small Pennsylvania town in 1973. The film tells the story of a young boy and his family who are terrorized by a menacing presence lurking in the cornfields surrounding their farmhouse.
THE FIELDS stars Tara Reid (below), Cloris Leachman, Joshua Ormond, Faust Checho, Bev Appleton, Louis Morabito, Karen Ludwig, Kelly Natividade, Joseph Cintron, Brian Anthony Wilson and Max Antisell. We’ll be on the lookout for some more details on this one’s release so be sure to check back soon for that news as soon as it rolls our way.
