Cabin in the Woods gets 4K treatment this September!

There are very few horror-comedy flicks out there that work. Mostly we can all agree that Edgar Wright's SHAUN OF THE DEAD hits the right marks, along with AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON and THE RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD. Other than that, the films become very subjective.

That said, one of the more recent films I think all horror fans agree is a great time at the horror-comedy movies is Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard's CABIN IN THE WOODS. I literally only know two peeps that don't like the flick. But they don't know what they're talking about so it's all good.

Also, no spoilers, even THEY love the balls-to-the-wall third act.

Anyhow, it is with this in mind we bring you the news that the new classic will be hitting 4K for the very first time this September. Below I have gathered the list of special features and more so scroll through all of that and them make sure to let us know what you think of CABIN IN THE WOODS on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

A rambunctious group of five college friends steal away for a weekend of debauchery in an isolated country cabin, only to be attacked by horrific supernatural creatures in a night of endless terror and bloodshed. Sound familiar? Just wait. As the teens begin to exhibit standard horror movie behavior, a group of technicians in a control room are scrutinizing, and sometimes even controlling, every move the terrified kids make! With their efforts continually thwarted by the all- powerful eye in the sky, do they have any chance of escape?

CABIN IN THE WOODS is directed by Drew Goddard from a script by Goddard and Joss Whedon. The film stars Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth, Anna Hutchison, Fran Kranz, Jesse Williams, Richard Jenkins, and Bradley Whitford.

CABIN IN THE WOODS hits 4K for the first time ever September 5th.

Extra Tidbit: Rated R for "strong bloody horror violence and gore, language, drug use and some sexuality/nudity"
