Check out the cheeky trailer for Jon Wright’s Irish monster-comedy Grabbers

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

4 months it’s been since hearing that Jon Wright’s Irish horror-comedy GRABBERS was snatched up by IFC Midnight. A long wait to see a trailer for the cheeky monster-comedy, but that’s precisely what we have for you to check out underneath. Cop a peek ASAP, this one looks pretty fun!

With Richard Coyle, Ruth Bradley, Russell Tovey, Lalor Roddy, David Pearse and Bronagh Gallagher rounding out the cast, in GRABBERS:

Something sinister has come to the shores of Erin Island, unbeknownst to the quaint population of this sleepy fishing village resting somewhere off the coast of Ireland. First, some fishermen go missing. Then there is the rash of whale carcasses found washed up on the beach. When themurders start, it’s up to two mismatched cops— the charming but somewhat work-shy Ciaran O’Shea and his new by-the-book partner from the mainland, Lisa Nolan—to protect the islanders from the giant, bloodsucking, tentacled aliens that are out to get them. Their only weapon, they discover, is booze. If they want to survive the creatures’ onslaught, everyone will have to get very, very drunk.

GRABBERS is likely to hit VOD later this year, possibly concurrent with a limited theatrical run. We’ll let you know when it’s made known.
