How is this for some mighty awesome news? Legend Films, independent distributors have stated that they are going to release to amazing cult classics on Blu-ray!
So which cult classics? Ed Wood’s PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE and Roger Corman’s LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS! This is great news, and I really hope they have gotten some good transfers. As much as I love seeing how the films look now, I think cleaned up versions might even add more charm to them.
Currently there isn’t any artwork available; the tentative release date however isn’t that far away, March 6th. I am excited; PLAN 9 is one of my all time favs and LITTLE SHOP features one of Jack Nicholson’s earliest roles. Back in the day PLAN 9 was considered one of the worst films ever made, but I think with some of the dreadful things we’ve seen lately, it certainly doesn’t deserve that title anymore.
