We all knew this was coming. Upon the unearthing of any casting rumors, we always get people involved with the project talking about them without actual revealing any facts. Such is the case with the highly anticipated GHOSTBUSTERS 3.
Dan Aykroyd has addressed the recent rumors, confirming that casting is underway and open to fresh faces. He also added that Bill Hader and Anna Faris are among the possibilities, along with Eliza Dushku (below). Lastly, he confirmed the (old) news that Bill Murray and Sigourney Weaver are returning.
Ivan Reitman will once again direct the long-delayed third film in the classic series. Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky are writing the script. Columbia is aiming for a May 2011 start date with a Christmas 2012 release in mind.
