Dane DeHaan gets tanked in A Cure for Wellness clip

Director Gore Verbinski's A CURE FOR WELLNESS, his return to the horror genre following 2002's THE RING, has gotten very close to its February 17th release date without giving away many, if any, of its secrets. Not even the clips that have been released online have given much away. Case in point, the clip we have to share today, in which star Dane DeHaan is put into a sensory deprivation chamber. Sure, it's a creepy concept and Jason Isaacs is on hand to make things creepier with his line delivery, but this could simply be a spa treatment without anything sinister going on.

The synopsis assures us that there is something unsavory about this spa. The story centers on a man who

is sent to rescue his boss from a European “wellness spa.” He soon realizes he's trapped, and discovers that the facility has a more sinister purpose than just serving the health needs of its patients.

Mia Goth co-stars in the film with DeHaan and Isaacs.

Of course, it's easier to keep secrets when the clip is only 1 minute from a film that has been revealed to be 146 minutes long. I'm intrigued by A CURE FOR WELLNESS and would like to check it out, but does a story about a man being trapped in a spa really merit a runtime of nearly two and a half hours? I can't imagine why it would require that much time, but I guess we'll find out in a couple weeks.
