Daredevil star Charlie Cox is going to need all five senses going strong for EAT LOCAL, a new vampire film that will mark the directorial debut of veteran character actor Jason Flemyng. Filming evidently began this week on the picture, which sounds like a bloodsucking good time.

Cox (pictured above) is joined by Billy Cook, Mackenzie Crook (Pirates Of The Caribbean, Game Of Thrones), Dexter Fletcher (Eddie The Eagle), Freema Agyeman (Doctor Who), Ruth Jones (Gavin & Stacey), Annette Crosbie (Into The Woods), Vincent Regan (Lockout, 300) and Eve Myles (Doctor Who, Torchwood).

Eat Local revolves around…

unwitting Essex boy Sebastian (newcomer Billy Cook), whose promise of a night of passion with a ravishing cougar quickly turns into a fight for survival after she decides to introduce him to some of her friends — a coven of hungry vampires — at a remote farmhouse. Added to the mix, a heavily armed band of mercenary vampire hunters crashes the party.

Filming is expected to run into February. Rod Smith of Evolution Pictures is producing, along with Jonathan Sothcott and Neil Jones of Hereford Films.
