David Fincher gives an update on his World War Z sequel starring Brad Pitt

The last word we brought you guys on the sequel to WORLD WAR Z was to let you know that master filmmaker David Fincher had in fact been confirmed as the director of the new film starring Brad Pitt.

And today we have an update on WORLD WAR Z 2 via David Fincher himself. 

Fincher was recently a guest on the Empire Podcast while out promoting his recently released Netflix series MINDHUNTER and dropped some info on where WWZ2 is in the development process.

David Fincher on WORLD WAR Z 2:

I’ve been working for about a year now with Dennis Kelly on World War Z… We’re hoping to get a piece of material that’s a reason to make a movie not an excuse to make a movie.

WORLD WAR Z synopsis:
