Disney taps commercials director Brian Beletic for flick based on Matterhorn

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

We’ve been touching upon Disney’s upcoming flick based on their popular MATTERHORN attraction for a while now without even being sure it’ll fit here at AITH. Well today the flick has finally scored itself a director and it’s still unclear if this shite is genre-worthy. So we’re going to run with it anyway! … for now.

According to Deadline New York Disney has tapped Brian Beletic with the task of bringing this classic ride to the big screen. This is definitely an intriguing choice considering Beletic has really only done commercials. Jason Dean Hall penned the script with Justin Springer producing. ART OF FLIGHT’s Brain Farm Cinema has been hired as production consultants. Check out the logline for UNTITLED EXPLORERS PROJECT, which is what it’s being called:

A small group of young, super adventure/explorers, each with a specific skill set, are brought to the remote back country of the Pennine Alps under various guises for a trek across one of the planet’s remaining untouched realms. They do this with extreme skiing, snowboarding and mountaineering.

My question is as follows: Will Yeti be making an appearance up in here? That’s pretty much what rests on this one being cool here at AITH or being banished for all eternity. We’ll be sure to keep our eyes open for more on Disney’s UNTITLED EXPLORERS PROJECT and will update you all if it’s deemed worthy.
