Blood Bound Richard LeMay

Delving into the horror genre appears to be a Brolin family tradition. James Brolin has done horror (THE AMITYVILLE HORROR and, even better, THE CAR), his son Josh has done horror (GRINDHOUSE), and now Josh's daughter Eden Brolin is starring in writer/director Richard LeMay's horror film BLOOD BOUND.

Enticingly described as being like "ROSEMARY'S BABY meets DRAG ME TO HELL", BLOOD BOUND is said to take "a dark look into how far the human spirit can take one soul in its most desperate hour" while telling the following story:

Every 25 years, it begins. Bound to an ancient pact, a family of unlimited power descends upon a small rural town to sacrifice four human lives, one being a member of their own family. Layered with plot twists and conflicted characters, Blood Bound follows six people as they carry out their destiny to their ultimate horror.

Brolin's co-stars include Joseph Melendez, Gerald McCullouch, Eric Nelsen, and Kevin Spirtas. Spirtas was formerly known as Kevin Blair, and you may know him from the '80s slashers FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VII: THE NEW BLOOD and/or THE HILLS HAVE EYES PART II.

Film Mode Entertainment recently presented BLOOD BOUND to potential buyers at the American Film Market.

LeMay's previous credits include the DEMENTIA 13 remake. He describes BLOOD BOUND as a "dark, creepy film" and says viewers will be blown away by Eden Brolin's performance. I'd like to see that performance for myself, so hopefully we'll be hearing some distribution news soon.
