Epic Pictures nabs and dates Aussie horror flick Crawl, sets October release

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

It’s a bit vexing that this is our first time writing about Paul China’s Aussie horror flick CRAWL, as it’s jointly produced by our pals over at Bloody-Disgusting. Anyway, the flick has just been nabbed by Epic Pictures and given an October theatrical and VOD release. Scope it…

Crawl is a character-driven thriller set in an unknown, rural town. A seedy bar-owner hires a mysterious Croatian to murder an acquaintance over an unpaid debt. The crime is carried out, but a planned double-crossing backfires and an innocent waitress suddenly becomes involved. Now a hostage in her own home, the young woman is driven to desperate measures for survival. A suspenseful, yet darkly humorous chain of events builds to a blood-curdling and unforgettable climax.

Again, a shame we haven’t heard of this one sooner. It stars Andy Barclay, Lauren Dillon, Paul Bryant, William Garvey, Georgina Haig (below) and Penny Anne Hoffmann.

After premiering at Cannes this month, CRAWL will hit select theaters and Ultra VOD in early October. Stay put for an exact date.
