Erik Van Looy’s indie murder mystery Loft gets international trailer

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

TRAILER REMOVED AT THE REQUEST OF: The Belgian Anti-piracy Federation (BAF).

Believe it or not, there’s a longer history of people remaking their own movies than you might imagine. One recent example is Belgian filmmaker Erik Van Looy, who has transformed his edgy-indie-thriller LOFT into an English language redo. We have the trailer for the new version below, which stars Wentworth Miller, Karl Urban, James Marsden, Rachael Taylor, Isabel Lucas, Rhona Mitra and Eric Stonestreet. Hell of a cast…check it out underneath!

Adapted by Wesley Strick (CAPE FEAR, A NIGHTMARE IN ELM STREET):

LOFT follows five married friends who decide to rent a loft together where they can bring their mistresses. When the body of an unknown woman is found in the loft, they realize that they don’t know each other as well as they thought and begin to suspect one another of murder.

No need retelling you I’m a murder-mystery nut, so you know I’m sold. What about you though? This your type of flick? Have you seen the original? If so, how does this new trailer stack up? Expect a 2012 LOFT release date to come down soon.
