With THE SACRAMENT set for a May release by Magnolia/Magnet, director Ti West is already eyeing his next feature film, IN A VALLEY OF VIOLENCE, which will take him to the late 1800's with both John Travolta and Ethan Hawke! This news is coming in from THR who reports that the film is being described as a Western horror film set in the 1890s. You want more? Well, too bad because that's all they're giving us! It will be produced by Jason Blum and his Blumhouse production banner along with West collaborators Jacob Jaffke and Peter Phok.
Even though I have yet to see THE SACRAMENT, I have been a big fan of everything that West has been involved with so any news of him continuing to bring his talents behind the camera is pretty awesome stuff and certainly worth getting excited about. Hawke is by now an old hand at Blumhouse, having already starred in two huge films for them in SINISTER and THE PURGE, so seeing him team up with West is a no-brainer. Travolta, on the other hand, kind of freaks me out but he's definitely a surprising choice.
