Evil Dead attacking us one week earlier than we thought

His Groovyness himself, Mr. Bruce Campbell, took to his Twitter last light to share some exciting news on the highly-anticipated THE EVIL DEAD and….well, I’ll just let Ash do the talking himself:

In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

The Fede Alvarez-helmed film stars Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas and Elizabeth Blackmore and is now scheduled to hit theaters April 5 2013. The film has been rated R for “strong bloody violence and gore, some sexual content and language.”
