Exclusive VFX featurette from Under the Dome: Season 2, on DVD/Blu-ray now!

I'm a fan of "Under the Dome", the successful CBS series from the all-star combination of Executive Producers Steven Spielberg and Stephen King, and today we have a cool peek at how some of the shows special effects were created with an EXCLUSIVE featurette clip from the "Under the Dome: Season 2" Blu-ray and DVD, which arrives today (you can order the Blu-ray HERE or grab it on DVD HERE).

UNDER THE DOME: SEASON 2 revisits the small town that was suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome. The town’s inhabitants continue to do their best to survive the post-apocalyptic conditions. Questions still remain about the dome, with the remaining citizens striving to find answers and struggling to survive.

Many of the cast members return for the second season of the series, including Dean Norris, Rachelle Lefevre, Aisha Hinds, Mike Vogel, Natalie Martinez, Britt Robertson, Colin Ford, Mackenzie Lintz and Alexander Koch. The series is executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Stephen King, Brian K. Vaughan, Neal Baer, Stacey Snider, Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank and Jack Bender.

Available in collectible packaging and complete with all 13 episodes, the Blu-ray disc and DVD are packed with a number of never-before-seen special features including:

• Stephen King & Season 2 – An in-depth conversation with Stephen King about the success of the first season, why viewers connected with the series, his fascination with ‘worlds within worlds’ and themes of the second season.
• Filming The Season Premiere – A behind-the-scenes look on set with director Jack Bender and the cast on the first day of filming season two, with new characters, Stephen King’s cameo appearance and some of the big events that kicked off the season.
• A Journey Through Season 2 – A look at the new worlds and events from the dome. The different directors and some of the cast members reflect on this season’s new set pieces.
• The Visual Effects of Season 2 – An in-depth look at the visual effects used in season two. This feature provides the before-and-after shot breakdowns, with a focus on the first episode of season 2, as well as highlights from the second season.
