Fear the Walking Dead promos put zombies in the suburbs

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Three new teasers for FEAR THE WALKING DEAD, the companion series to THE WALKING DEAD that will be premiering on AMC this August, have shambled their way onto the internet, each featuring imagery of a more normal and serene nature than we've ever seen on its sister show. And then the peace of their settings gets shattered by the arrival of a walker.

I don't think these scenes will actually be in any of the episodes, but the promos do make it clear that being set at the beginning of the zombie outbreak is going to allow FEAR THE WALKING DEAD to be a different sort of show than the one viewers have been watching for the last five years.

Produced by AMC Studios and executive produced by Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero, David Alpert, and showrunner David Erickson, FEAR THE WALKING DEAD stars Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Ruben Blades, Mercedes Mason, Lorenzo James Henrie, Shawn Hatosy, and Colman Domingo. The first season will consist of six episodes, the first three of which were directed by co-executive producer Adam Davidson.
