First Look: Jeffrey Dean Morgan returns to Supernatural

On SUPERNATURAL, Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays John Winchester, the father of the show's demon-hunting stars Sam and Dean (played by Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles). And just a couple weeks ago, we let you guys know that  Morgan (who's best known these days for playing Negan on AMC's THE WALKING DEAD) is returning to The CW series. Morgan will be appearing in the 300th episode, which is titled Lebanon and which will see the return of John Winchester for an emotional family reunion around the dinner table. And today, EW has shared our first look at the 300th episode and sat down with some of the cast members to ask them how they feel about Morgan's return. You can read those thoughts below.

Samantha Smith says of John and Mary getting to see each other again:

Everything’s right in the world in this bubble of time. It’s very romantic.

As for how John returns in the episode, Jensen Ackles says:

Dean is faced with essentially a genie in a bottle, and this is what he would truly wish for if his heart could speak.

While the upcoming episode doesn't have an official synopsis, executive producer Andrew Dabb hinted that Morgan won't be the only familiar face returning to the series:

We’re incredibly excited to have Jeffrey back for this milestone episode, and think fans will love what we have planned for his character… and a few other surprise guest stars.

The 300th episode of The CW's SUPERNATURAL featuring the return of Jeffrey Dean Morgan will air Thursday, February 7th. Are you excited for Morgan's return to SUPERNATURAL?
