First Look: Lenny Abrahamson’s The Little Stranger starring Domhnall Gleeson

I'm not going to lie to you guys and say that I have heard one single thing about director Lenny Abrahamson's upcoming adaptation of Sarah Waters' novel THE LITTLE STRANGER.

That said, I am intrigued already by the film as I dug Abrahamson's previous film ROOM starring Brie Larson and Jacob Trembley. While that film wasn't exactly horror, it showed off Abrahamson's skills. Anyhow, today we have your first look at the film which will be released in August of 2018.

You can check out the first look image above and then make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think of THE LITTLE STRANGER thus far in the comment below or on social media.

THE LITTLE STRANGER synopsis:

Dr Faraday, the son of a housemaid, has built a life of quiet respectability as a country doctor. During the long hot summer of 1948, he is called to a patient at Hundreds Hall, where his mother once worked. The Hall has been home to the Ayres family for more than two centuries. But it is now in decline and its inhabitants – mother, son and daughter – are haunted by something more ominous than a dying way of life. When he takes on his new patient, Faraday has no idea how closely, and how disturbingly, the family’s story is about to become entwined with his own.

The film is directed by Lenny Abrahamson from a script by Lucinda Coxon, based on the novel by Sarah Waters. The film stars Domhnall Gleeson, Ruth Wilson, Will Poulter, and Charlotte Rampling.

THE LITTLE STRANGER hits August 31, 2018.
